  1. OPERATION CHEEZY… WHAT? KEY SCENES GENRE An eccentric girl with

social anxiety refuses to ask for help when reaching the top shelf at the grocery store. She resorts to cooking up an evil plan over asking for help, and records said plan for her PooTube channel. Unfortunately, her plans are foiled by her sibling, who offers to help her with her social ineptitude. • “The Plan” - in which Mitzi reveals her motivations - social anxiety and that sweet, sweet nacho cheese. • “The Reveal” - Where Mitzi talks about the plan. • “The Cancellation” - Where Mae offers help, while encouraging Mitzi to try and talk to people (to break out of her social anxiety). OPERATION: Cheezy Breezy is a comedy.
  2. WHY? This story is based on a time in my

life when I was far, far too nervous to ask for help. I was a middle schooler who had cravings for nacho cheese, and the only jar in the store was in a restricted area. Though I didn’t resort to terrorism, I was tempted to steal… thus, I crafted an elaborate plan in my head, and my friend had to witness me try it, and fail spectacularly, because the fear of getting caught overrode the fear of talking to other people. I’ve grown past that mindset now, and about five years later, it’s just a fun memory to look back on and poke fun at. There’s so much you can do with an anxious, evil middle schooler. Have you seen how evil and awkward they are? This film is made to show how far some people are willing to go just to avoid their fears - and through comedy - show that ultimately, it’s okay to reach out. However, social anxiety isn’t something you can just overcome in a day. Sometimes, you need those who are close to you to help out. It’s about taking baby steps and doing things at your own pace, but ultimately, there will always be people to help you. It’s okay to be nervous, it’s okay to be scared, but it’s also okay to ask for help. And maybe, someday you’ll be powerful enough to get that nacho cheese on your own!
  3. TARGET AUDIENCE My target audience consists of kids and young

adults aged 11-18. Though this age range is far older than the character I intend to portray, I want to give my older viewers someone to relate to and see their past selves in. …And maybe they’ll see themselves in Mae, too, confronting their inner child.
  4. MITZI Mitzi, better known as her online handle, XxDR3ADFULF1R3xX, is

an eccentric 11 year old middle schooler who really, really likes nacho cheese. If there’s something she hates more than she loves her goopy goodness, it’s talking to people. And, unfortunately, she hates it enough that she’ll refuse to ask for help when she needs to reach the top shelf. … Which is where they store her beloved nacho cheese.
  5. She runs a PooTube channel with five subscribers - one

of them being her sister. We don’t know if the other four are bots… nor do we want to, at this point. MITZI
  6. Mae is Mitzi’s 19 year old sister. She’s patient and

supportive enough to deal with Mitzi, but sisters are sisters, and that means they tease each other. … A lot. She says she’s tired of getting Mitzi her nacho cheese every single time, but she really just wants to help her with her anxiety. MAE

  8. WORLD Mitzi’s room - or her evil lair - is

where she spends her time holed up and recording for her videos.
  9. SOUND I want my film to sound like a child-produced

early 2010’s YouTube video - minus the bad audio quality. Nostalgic royalty-free music, dubstep, you name it. A few tracks that fit the mood - particularly for Mitzi’s evil plan - would be: • Trance - 009 Sound System Dreamscape • TheFatRat - Unity Besides those, I want it to sound relatively slice-of-lifey, silly, and upbeat. Perhaps I’d continue going for a nostalgic teen YouTuber vibe, incorporating tracks similar to Kevin MacLeod’s work. TL;DR… I want this to be as stupidly nostalgic as possible.
  10. ABOUT THE CREATOR Hi, I’m Lang! I’m an Indonesian sophomore

animator at the School of Visual Arts who likes to draw from their own past experiences and stories to tell tales about silly little guys. I'm often influenced by my day-to-day life, which means that my stories from the realm of daydreaming, conversation, evil scheming, and more. However, I do like to draw inspiration from shows I’ve watched, like Dana Terrace’s The Owl House or Rebecca Sugar’s Steven Universe - in order to craft relatable, silly commentary on whatever subject my brain is fixated on at the time. The most important aspect to the way I approach storytelling is personal relatability. Can I see myself in my main character? Can my audience put themselves in their shoes? I find that the ideas I have the most fun with are ones that I project a lot of myself into - whether it’s about a socially anxious kid who avoids her problems by planning diabolical schemes or someone eavesdropping on two kids roleplaying as wizards, there’s always a little bit of me in there. And thus, my stories are everyone else’s. In terms of my career, my biggest goals in this film are to show off my character acting and animation - I hope to land a position as a rough animator. A secondary goal of mine would be to show off my compositing skills - I love working with After Effects and wish to elevate my viewers’ experience through it. Each character is an extension of myself, in a sense, so I want them to act and appear as if they were believable, distinct, and real. Perhaps then my audience will see themselves in me, too. Thats me :D
