An educator with nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Timothy Gadson serves as the owner and principal consultant for Timothy Gadson Consulting, specializing in educational leadership and school transformation. Recently, he served as the Deputy Superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the district's strategic direction and improving student outcomes.

Previously, Dr. Gadson held leadership positions, including superintendent and associate superintendent, in various school districts, including the Salt Lake City School District. As superintendent, he developed a strategic plan to address declining enrollment, led the creation of advisory committees to assess district strengths and growth opportunities, and oversaw a $330 million budget for more than 21,000 students.

Before his tenure in Salt Lake City, Dr. Gadson was associate superintendent of Anoka-Hennepin Schools and Atlanta Public Schools. He was also a consultant and executive director with Robbinsdale Area Schools in New Hope, Minnesota. He supervised high school operations for the Austin Independent School District in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Gadson earned his Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction and higher education from Washington State University and is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Association of School Administrators and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. He has a proven track record in school transformation and is passionate about equity, diversity, and inclusion. He utilizes research-based and data-informed strategies to improve student achievement and graduation rates for all students, particularly those from underserved communities.
