I’m Christian Goodrich, a senior search marketing and AI search specialist with 18+ years of agency experience, including more than a decade working at Head of Search level.

I’m the Head of AI Search & SEO at SOZO, a B Corp digital agency in the Cotswolds. I joined SOZO as its first dedicated search hire and helped build the agency’s search capability from the ground up, leading strategy and delivery across 100+ e-commerce and lead generation brands.

My work focuses on improving revenue, lead quality, conversion rate and acquisition efficiency through SEO, Paid Search, CRO, analytics and AI-driven search. I approach these as one connected growth system, where visibility only matters if it converts and supports sustainable commercial growth.

In 2025, I led the launch of SOZO’s Search Everywhere Optimisation service, helping brands improve discoverability across both traditional search and AI-driven search experiences. This work brings together technical SEO, content strategy, paid search insight, CRO, structured data, analytics, brand authority and third-party visibility into one unified search strategy.

I also bring a technical background that sits beyond the typical search specialist. I started building websites at 11, later worked across HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and JavaScript, and spent several years as a full-stack developer before specialising fully in search. That foundation helps me connect search strategy with site performance, tracking, structured data, development constraints and commercial outcomes.

As search evolves through platforms like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and other AI-led discovery experiences, I focus on the fundamentals that help brands remain visible, trusted and chosen: clear content, strong structure, reliable data, authority, third-party validation and commercially aligned user journeys.

I speak on practical search strategy, with a focus on attribution, lead quality, AI search visibility, workflow innovation and reducing wasted spend through better data and decision-making.
