Introduction to Digital Photography
@peterhellberg
basics Back to
· Shutter Speed · Aperture · ISO basics There are
really only three things that you need to learn to understand photography.
Shutter Speed The duration the shutter is open directly corresponds
to how much light is hitting the sensor.
Aperture The larger the hole, the more light gets through
to the sensor.
ISO How sensitive your camera is to the light that
managed to get through to the sensor. (Yes, it is the same ISO you are thinking about… )
Your camera does not matter
Until it does.

Prime lens A prime lens is a photographic lens whose
focal length is fixed, as opposed to a zoom lens.
