Hey, I'm Matt. I've been building web-based applications since 1999. I first started out, quite by accident, when a boss asked me if I'd ever heard of PHP and MySQL.

I had no idea why he was asking, and answered him, honestly, that I had. Well, the journey of a lifetime was just about to begin.

Since that time, I've learned to love so much about web-based application development — and learned to dislike my fair share of things too.

However, the love for what I can build, what I can do, and how I can help others with web-based apps has never left me.

Over the years, I've also found an insatiable joy in helping other developers learn and grow as well. Whether that was in blog articles and tutorials that I've written, or courses that I've created for Pluralsight too.

It's a passion that shows no sign of slowing down. So I hope to be doing this for years to come.
