Chris Tse, Founding Director of the Cardstack Project, takes a deep dive into the multi-currency payment & billing network called the “CARD Protocol”—which is the economic layer that makes the Cardstack network worthwhile for all participants.
The main components of the protocol are customer acceptance and revenue distribution. Customers can use a simple prepaid card like a gift card to redeem services on the network, while rewards get distributed fairly to all contributors of the ecosystem.
Watch this video to learn about the overall schematics as well as the detailed technical mechanics of the CARD Protocol, getting to know the main players in this system (from customers to service providers and retailers). Find out how different currencies, exchange rates, analytics, token pools, and smart contracts factor into this, while gaining insights into the role played by the cloud, Tally, Card Folio, the CLUTCH mechanism, and the Cardstack Hub.
