Marcelo Ancelmo has been working in the IT industry since 2001, and has done a bit (or would it be a byte) of everything. A good old-fashioned troublemaker, he started his professional career as a Java programmer, fell in love with architecture, dove into middleware, explored infrastructure (and operations), built and managed high-performing teams.
What drives him? The never-ending puzzle of socio-technical systems and helping people (and teams) unlock their full potential. He embraces curiosity, humility, and openness to learning, enjoying all the bumps along the ride.
Deeply engaged in the tech community, he speaks at conferences, joins meetups, teams up with JUGs, helps organize events (when time allows), and contributes to industry working groups and technology committees. Along the way, he has delivered consulting, training and mentorship.
Today, he works as Head of Solution Architecture at KPMG Switzerland, helping the company drive its digital transformation toward sustainable business agility, fueled by Agile, Architecture and DevOps.
When not wrestling with distributed systems or debating the merits of solutions, you'll probably find him with a coffee in hand and a headset on (yes, he is in a meeting).
