Kikko

Phillip and Maria purchase the car of their dreams after striking a deal at fancy, ultra-modernised car dealership in Sydney, only to find themselves racing home, chased by the hailstorm of the decade.

I wrote and storyboarded this short film during the Women in Animation Mentorship Circle (Autumn 2021) with the guidance of Tamara Lusher as my mentor and awesome feedback from my fellow mentees.

Random trivia: I love writing near-future scifi and recently (early 2025) I found out about an EV car by Nio that had a little dashboard robot not unlike Kikko. Spooky! But not the first time I wrote something that came true.
