We’ve been all ears for recent company announcements to understand
how trading is going for the travel sector. Here are a few things we’ve found interesting recently. May 2024
"Forward bookings for package holiday customers are up by 13%
and we are also seeing healthy demand from flight-only passengers up by over 18%." Source: Jet2plc.com trading update April 2024
Source: Wizz Air F24 post-close trading statement "It is trading
positively into the summer of 2024 with selling load factors and pricing trending higher year-on-year in the first two fiscal quarters."
Source: RCG Earnings Call Q1 2024 "Bookings consistently outpaced last
year throughout the entire first quarter and through April."
Source: easyJet FY24 H1 trading update “Bookings for summer 2024
continue to build well, with an increase in volume and pricing compared to the same period last year… easyJet holidays has currently sold 70% of the plan for this summer.”
