  8. “AI in automotive, and its potential for intelligent mobility systems”

Interview with Dr. Torsten Schön Torsten finished his PhD in Machine Learning in 2013 and since then has worked on the mobility sector, mainly for Audi and VW, where he had a role as AI TechLead for the 8000+ employees at Car.SW Org. Since October 2020 Torsten has moved on to be a professor for Computer Vision for Intelligent Mobility Systems at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. Moderated by Dr. Chris Armbruster
  9. Leveraging Data to Ensure Food and Agri-commodity Supply Chain Security

Shravani Basu, Managing Director, SBSF Agritech UG Shravani is a plant biologist who has been focusing on agriculture to help it transition from subsistence to surplus via the sustainability route using digital technologies under concepts like smart or precision farming. Before setting up SBSF Agritech in Berlin in December 2020, she has been developing business strategy and international markets for innovative products, more specifically data driven ones, for companies across Asia and Europe in agriculture and pharmaceuticals. Learn how a data and ML-based solution supports the diversification of crops globally while ensuring sustainability: in this talk she will set-up the scene with a few examples of applications of AI in Agriculture that SBSF has been devising and focus on their product “CropLocator” highlighting the technology and algorithms in use, and the application of the solution. Moderated by Elif Schaefer
  10. Putting Data Analytics in Production for 50 Million Customers. An

Insight into Sparkassen-Data Analytics Dr. Nevena Palic, Data Scientist at S Rating und Risikosysteme GmbH Nevena Palic is a Data Scientist in the Data Analytics department at S Rating und Risikosysteme, a central service provider for the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe in Germany. She has been in the field since 2018. Before that, she completed a PhD in Mathematics. Sparkassen-DataAnalytics is a set of various solutions based on machine learning and data analysis that help the financial institutions in understanding their customers, addressing them specifically and advising them in an optimal way. Together with other partners from Sparkassen Finanzgruppe, S Rating und Risikosysteme GmbH (SR) offers Sparkassen-DataAnalytics to all Saving Banks (Sparkasse) in Germany. In this talk we will get an insight into the work of the Data Analytics department at SR and we will have a closer look into one B2B product affinity score. Moderated by Promit Ray
  11. Paraphrasing in news reporting with deep neural nets Sebastian Duerr,

Machine Learning Engineer at MIT Center for Collective Intelligence Sebastian is a Machine Learning Scholar at MIT in Boston, focusing on Natural Language Processing and Generation. Furthermore, he collaborates with Narrativa.com to integrate NLP deep learning solutions into their service offer. Learn how you can integrate artificial text generation practices into your organization through this intuitive use case of fine-tuning Google’s T5 model for paraphrasing and synthetic data creation: Narrativa.com crafts artificially generated texts, for example, newspaper articles for big media outlets. He will demonstrate how the modern transformer architecture T5 is fine-tuned and integrated into Narrativa’s data heavy infrastructure to write versatile articles with artificial paraphrasing. Moderated by Macarena Beigier-Bompadre
  12. Statistical Health Monitoring of Manufacturing Machines - From Sensors to

Insight to Deployment Badru Stanicki, Data Scientist & Instructor at Propulsion Academy Zürich With a masters in Physics, Badru got into scientific programming and data science during his time at the German Aerospace Center in Spain. After working several years in research, he moved into Data Science first as a student and then as a team member at Propulsion Academy Zürich, offering Full-Stack Coding, Data Science, Python and AI Courses for Individuals and Corporates in Zurich, Munich or Remote. Moderated by Felix Großmann
  13. On the AI Guild team effort for #datalift No 3

on 29 January 2021 The #datalift campaign and events are the result of a joint effort by the members of the AI Guild. Since the founding in May 2019, the AI Guild community has grown to 600+ members, all active in the field of data analytics and machine learning in tech, product, and business roles. The #datalift campaign website was co-developed by a task force of a dozen members. Likewise, #datalift No 3 on 29 January was co-developed by the AI Guild community, with the core of the use cases coming from members, and the presenters and moderators volunteering to support companies and governments in Europe in learning better and faster how to productionize data analytics and machine learning. If you would like to join this community, please visit theguild.ai For the AI Guild, Dânia Meira and Chris Armbruster
