My opening segment from the Writesonic × SOZO session with Christian Goodrich, on what winning brands do differently in AI search.

Five fresh studies across an index of 2 billion+ AI conversations. A few of the results genuinely surprised me.

The short version: buyers now make the decision inside the answer, before they land on your site, if they land at all. Any two AI engines agree on only about 17% of their sources, so doing well on one tells you almost nothing about the next. Your own website turns out to be the weakest lever you have. And the whole board can reprice overnight when a model quietly updates.

If your next customer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini who to buy from, this is what decides whether the answer is you.
