Brighton April 2025 was my first ever attempt at public presentation. Full title was "XML + Hreflang: A Practical Guide for Large E-Commerce Sites

The presentation was suitable for anyone involved in deploying or managing Hreflang for ecommerce websites (big and small).

This talk challenges the sometimes-held assumption that HTML Hreflang is automatically the “better” option compared to XML Hreflang Sitemaps by exploring the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

Drawing upon 12 years of experience in International SEO, I shared common scenarios where XML Hreflang Sitemaps could be more effective compared to HTML, as well as practical tips for prioritising and troubleshooting your Hreflang deployment.
