  1. PICH HORTENSIAS is a narrative game that centers around the

    real conversations between me, my mother, and my grandmother reflecting on our memories of my great grandmother who passed away. - Single Player - Mobile Platforms - Approx. 1 hour narrative experience It’s a non linear story strung together through a series of upbeat and melancholic mini games and comic strips, that let you play through our memories. Sew, bake, and stuff a turkey in a drying machine and interact with dozens of hand drawn objects while listening to heartfelt funny conversations, set in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
  2. HORTENSIAS is a personal tribute to my great-grandmother, Patria Santana,

    and what she meant to me and my family. More importantly, it’s an invitation for players to reflect on their relationships with their loved ones, living or departed. And that by telling and sharing their stories, you can transcend time, and keep them as a constant part of your life. AN PLATN O V & GIF
  3. All the elements are hand drawn and animated, making each

    action uniquely expressive, to match the tone of the corresponding conversation. A vrn word but from re word soces Each mini game and comic strip is different and catered to its respective memory located in my hometown of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where the sound and dialogue was recorded. While you play through these memories you’ll hear our unscripted conversations and atmospheric soundscapes specific to the location the memory is set in, which will make you feel like you’re there with us.

    comic strips don’t follow a linear storyline, mirroring how we don’t remember things in chronological order. Each memory is a playful back and forth between speakers. Which is reflected in the funny and intuitive interactions. Each interaction is simple yet exaggerated, inspired by a real world situation. For example, in one of the mini games Turkey my mom tells the story of how my great grandmother would hide the christmas turkey inside the drying machine, so my grandpa wouldn’t eat it before dinner. In the mini game, you spin the turkey round and round inside the drying machine, trying to avoid a jumping grandpa head.
