Inc. All Rights Reserved. After Before Support for Identifying Issues and Formulating Improvement Plans Related to the “2024 Logistics Crisis” Leveraging our experience as training instructors for shipper companies, MCLOGI provided structured support for issue identification and solution planning. Difficulty in Understanding the Current Situation Clarified Issues and Prepared Countermeasures Client Feedback By identifying gaps in compliance with the government’s guidelines for shippers, the entire organization was able to share a common understanding of necessary improvements. In terms of legal compliance, the company was able to assess whether any practices aligned with past administrative recommendations to shippers and took steps toward proactive improvement. Case Study (1):  Supported a food manufacturer seeking to assess the impact of the “2024 Logistics crisis”  Identified key issues through carrier questionnaires, analysis of internal data, and contract review • Although the “2024 logistics crisis” is widely discussed, its actual impact remains unclear. • Lack of visibility into what is happening at delivery destinations. • Carriers provide little information, making sudden rate hikes difficult to manage. • Historical context of the problem was better understood. • Identified waiting times and additional tasks for each delivery location. • Enabled pre-negotiation planning by clearly organizing issues beforehand.

Inc. All Rights Reserved. After Before Case Study (2): Support for Contract Negotiations with Transport Companies MCLOGI supports logical negotiations based on its extensive experience and proven track record in freight rate negotiations. Client Feedback MCLOGI supported us not only in building negotiation scenarios but also by participating in the actual discussions. This allowed us to reach an agreement within the target range set by management. Their approach ensured the negotiations were balanced—not one-sided or based on dominant positioning—and they helped us maintain a constructive dialogue with the carrier throughout the process.  Supported a frozen food manufacturer that received a rate increase request from a carrier due to the “2024 Logistics crisis”  Provided not only assistance with rate negotiations but also identified issues from both sides, aiming to build a sustainable logistics framework While we understood the driver shortage, we didn’t want to accept a price increase without scrutiny. • Unsure how to respond, as the request differed from past practices. • No basis to assess the appropriateness of the proposed 10% increase. • Concerned that accepting the terms now would lead to further increases next year. Successfully kept the average requested price hike of 10% down to a 3.5% increase. • Engaged in logical negotiations aimed at rate optimization. • Clarified the basis of the rate increase request. • Established transparent reference criteria for future rate adjustments.

Inc. All Rights Reserved. After Before Joint Delivery Simulation MCLOGI acted as a neutral third party to align stakeholder interests and provide hands-on support. We aim to realize joint deliveries by effectively utilizing available truck capacity. Client Feedback We realized the project had stalled because both sides were only voicing what's convenient for themselves. Bringing in a neutral third party like MCLOGI made all the difference. Now that we understand how to select routes, we’d like to explore joint delivery options in other regions as well. Case Study (3):  We supported a processed food manufacturer in realizing joint deliveries in the Kanto region.  While analyzing data held by joint delivery partners, we gradually defined conditions to narrow down optimal routes and shared the methodology. Identified viable joint delivery routes.Out of 82 existing routes for mass retailers in the Kanto area, 13 were selected as joint delivery candidates. • All parties gained a better understanding of joint delivery feasibility. • The client acquired the ability to perform their own simulations. • Data ownership among parties was clarified. • Collaboration with potential partners was not progressing smoothly. • Lacked a clear method for selecting optimal delivery routes. • Uncertainty over which party held what data.

After Before AI-OCR AI-OCR combines Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology with Artificial Intelligence to recognize and process handwritten and printed characters. MCLOGI provided advisory support and form analysis based on its extensive 3PL operational expertise. Client Feedback The solution addressed concerns about future labor shortages and reliance on individual know-how. Having a logistics expert like MCLOGI involved ensured that system vendors received complete and accurate requirements, resulting in a well-structured solution.  Supported the digitization of purchase orders using digital fax and AI-OCR, and facilitated integration with internal systems.  Acted as a liaison between engineers and logistics operations by analyzing existing forms, preventing gaps in requirements and ensuring smooth communication. Case Study (4): Inefficient manual input of handwritten information • Purchase order formats varied by delivery destination • Data entry was performed manually from paper forms to Excel • No linkage to core systems Reduced workload and improved operational efficiency • Supported various types of order forms • Received orders via fax, digitized them using AI-OCR • Automatically integrated the extracted data into the core system

Inc. All Rights Reserved. After Before Developing a Roadmap for Warehouse Robot Implementation After gaining hands-on experience in actual site operations over a certain period, MCLOGI conducted robot selection and cost simulation. Challenges faced when considering the introduction of robots: • A clear roadmap is needed to gain management buy-in • Uncertainty about types of robots and their cost-effectiveness • Concerns about on-site disruption due to operational changes A realistic roadmap was developed, incorporating detailed operations and cost simulations: • The output aligns with the medium-term management plan • Suitable robots were selected based on operational fit, with clear ROI projections • Multiple layout change scenarios were simulated to assess operational feasibility Client Feedback The output, grounded in real-world experience rather than abstract theory, brought a high level of internal buy-in. As a result, the project was successfully completed in line with the internal task force's schedule. Case Study (5):  Supported the development of a roadmap from robot selection to implementation, aimed at reducing manpower in warehouse operations.  Based on firsthand experience from on-site operations, we provide practical proposals covering everything from robot selection to key operational considerations.

Client Feedback They appreciated that MCLOGI supports a wide range of areas—not limited to individual projects such as 5S promotion, BCP formulation, and lectures on critical warehouse operation laws—making their service highly practical and convenient. Case Study (6):  Identified issues and implemented improvement measures to promote 5S, with ongoing PDCA cycle support  Provided guidance on warehouse operations in line with legal regulations, along with practical advice for on-site improvements Desire to create a safer workplace and improve efficiency and work quality • Unclear about issues and solutions • Need to raise employees’ safety awareness • Uncertain about legal compliance in operations Workplace improved through 5S know-how and legal compliance • Issues plotted on maps and systematically resolved with Gantt charts • Enhanced awareness via weekly meetings and signage creation • Successful implementation of safety measures based on laws and regulations
