TRAFFIC USERS TRAFFIC PROFESSIONALS TRAFFIC APPLICATION DEVELOPERS MAKE USE OF FINTRAFFIC TRAFFIC SERVICES Fintraffic's online and mobile traffic services Fintraffic | Company Overview
  5. Mobility database launched 12/2024 • Fintraffic launched Mobility Database in

late 2024 • Replacing legacy public transport database • Mobility Database ingrates and harmonizes around 425 different mobility data sources in one national (cross-border) data package • Service offers API’s for all planned transportation in Finland + • Realtime API for scheduled services • GBFS API for citybikes and escooters • Deviation History API 6/3/2025 Esittäjän ja esityksen nimi | Julkisuus 7
  6. How to access the data • Data users and developers

can access the data from https://mobility.mobility-database.fintraffic.fi/en • APIs need a registration, but are free to use • API documentation can be found from the page f.ex. https://mobility.mobility- database.fintraffic.fi/realtime/history/swagger-ui/index.html • National datasets and API’s are based on following data standards • GTFS, NeTEx • GTFS RT and SIRI* • GBFS • JSON (Deviation history Api) 6/3/2025 Esittäjän ja esityksen nimi | Julkisuus 8
  7. AFIR (alternative fuel infrastruture) implementation in Finland • The Finnish

national legislation regarding AFIR came into force 14.4.2025. • The authorities’ approach has been that in the first phase the data should be made available in an API (OCPI, for example) and the metadata entries made to the catalog once it is operational. Starting from 14.4.2026 the data should also be available in Datex II format. • Fintraffic operates the NAPs for all ITS Directive related traffic data in Finland. AFIR is the latest addition to this portfolio. 6/3/2025 Esittäjän ja esityksen nimi | Julkisuus 9
  8. NAP (Fintraffic) AFIR – logical architecture in Finland charging data

NAP catalog (metadata) Operator (CPO, EMSP) IDRO (Traficom) OCPI AFIR-ID Data validation Data collection Data conversion APIs Analytics, reporting 3rd party services and applications National AFIR database Import API OCPI > Datex II
  9. Development roadmap 1. Data catalog, NAP in development • Will

contain the basic information of the operators + the addresses of the OCPI API’s • For production use after the summer holiday season • Data entry is the responsibility of operators 2. OCPI data import API in development • OCPI 2.1.1 and 2.2.1 supported in the first phase 3. Data conversion in OCPI > Datex II in development • commercial service within the Finnish NAP – available for a fee to all CPOs not willing to invest in their own Datex II APIs 4. Data validation tools (2025 - 2026) 5. National database for AFIR (2025 - 2026) 6. Data distribution APIs (2025 - 2026)
  10. API’s providing access • Data models/standards and APIs are currently

harmonized in transportation and mobility sector in EU area – Finland is no exception • Implementation focus is providing the access to data • Data standards getting harmonized through EU legislation under ITS Directive and relevant delegated regulations • Data standards like NeTEx, SIRI, Datex II are providing access to thousands of data points within EU • World is ready? 6/3/2025 Esittäjän ja esityksen nimi | Julkisuus 13
  11. API’s providing access – some barriers still exists • Implementation

timeframe towards EU data models is long and costly • 2028-2030 when most of the data distributions support mandated data models! • Data can be harnessed – but business cases are rather hard (costly) to build • API commercialization should come though business integrations and payment gateways / APIs – these haven’t been in center of the focus • OCPI in charging infrastructure is a best practice to follow • In mobility services there are currently no clear multimodal booking and payment API • Booking and payment API / wrappers are emerging 6/3/2025 Esittäjän ja esityksen nimi | Julkisuus 14
  12. OMSA • Open Mobility Sales API is going to be

introduced as a part of TAP TSI technical documentation in June 2025 • https://www.era.europa.eu/domains/technical- specifications-interoperability/telematics-applications- passenger-service-tsi_en • In short OMSA is presenting standardized booking flow with legacy booking channel support • Transmodel compliant https://transmodel-cen.eu/ 6/3/2025 15 The sales flow is as follows • Search for offers • Select an offer or offers, resulting in a package o Look for and add Ancillaries to package o Look for and assign Assets to package (this includes seats) • Purchase & confirm the package • Collect Travel Documents The after sales flow is as follows • Calculate refund options • Claim refund option • Confirm refund option
  13. API powered journeys in mobility 2.0 • Mobility data and

booking APIs are slowly but steadily getting more harmonized in EU common market area • Business integrations are more evident and cost-effective to implement when APIs which provide access to sales channels are standardized • With data models and business APIs standardized what could be just around the corner? 6/3/2025 Esittäjän ja esityksen nimi | Julkisuus 16
  14. API powered journeys in mobility 2.0 use of AI •

AI driven scalability to integrations! • In nearish future hundreds/ thousands of mobility actors are using same data standards and standardized APIs • SMEs can use AI to integrate every transport service within on country or make European wide services – If regulators leaves room for execution 6/3/2025 Esittäjän ja esityksen nimi | Julkisuus 17
