Live Content & Higher Ed: Perfect together?

Live Content & Higher Ed: Perfect together?

Given at Case Multimedia Workshop in Washington D.C.

What place does instant streaming have in the context of higher ed marketing? It used to be that we'd have to arrange recording live events with a large camera, planning and coordination. Now? iPhones and other mobile devices give us access to apps like Periscope, Facebook/Twitter Live, Beme, Livestation and other tools that can be deployed at a moment's notice. Explore the place of live content, the art of engaging (and retaining) users and measuring the impact of live video integration into a social media content calendar and strategy plan. Discuss tactics, training and discerning the best ways to deploy live content to maximize its reach and impact.
