3. DATA & ANALYTICAL CAPACITIES FOR BETTER POLICIES AGRODEP boasts a network of nearly 300 members from over 30 African countries, 28% of whom are women. AGRODEP’s shared modeling platform facilitates access to about two dozen fully coded, thoroughly documented core economic models with related databases for ease of replication. Facilitates access to 300+ datasets covering data used for economic analysis and policy research related to Africa’s growth and development. The AGRODEP School will provide access to technical training and capacity- strengthening for non- AGRODEP members. The AGRODEP Modeling Consortium is positioning African experts to respond to the needs of the CAADP growth and poverty reduction agenda through: Facilitating access to and use of state-of-the-art economic modeling tools Provision of data sources for research and policy analysis Collaboration among leading African scientists and their peers outside the continent NETWORKS 1.
