On the 9th of Oct. 2017 I visited a local high-school here in Amsterdam (a 4 HAVO class, for you Dutch people) to give a guest lesson, something I do occasionally on behalf of geefitdoor.nl. For this lesson I chose to talk about the digital society we live in nowadays and highlighted three core topics, privacy, security and knowledge/information sharing (action photo in https://twitter.com/hakan_akkas/status/917353894438727681)
My most interesting observation: teenagers hardly think about privacy and the implications of what they do and post on-line. One example, the topic of stolen phones and laptops came up and strangers having access to all their data in such an event wasn't a concern that registered with them at all. Neither did the "aftapwet" and governments having access to their WhatsApp messages.
