Past simple passive
Past simple passive rule Object (will be subject) + was/were
+ verb past participle E.g. The doors were opened. E.g. The milk was spilled.
Passive questions We make passive questions with be + Object
(subject) + v p.p. E.g. Are the books sold in the library? E.g. Was the sandwich eaten?
We can put Wh-question words at the beginning of the
question sentence. If we use who, what, when or where, the word order doesn’t change. E.g. When was the television invented? E.g. Who was Hamlet written by? Wh-question words
Wh question + be (is/are/was/were) + Object (will be subject)
+ v p.p.
