    •Goal is to standardize accessibility standards across the EU •Requires public sector bodies to ensure their websites, software, documents and apps are accessible to persons with disabilities •Barrierefreie Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik Gesetz Berlin (BIKTG, March 2019) – Accessible Information- and Communication Technology Law Berlin A new law is born… Speaker: Wiebke Müller and Cornelia Stolt
  5. •Law requires public sector agencies to monitor and report on

    the accessibility of their websites and mobile apps •Every website needs to have an Accessibility Statement •Every website needs to have a Feedback Option (Contact person) •Monitoring agency must be established •Role of Commissioner (Landesbeauftragte) for Digital Accessibility must be established What is required by the new law?
